College Daze Part 3

The move to college was big but exciting, Vivian mused. There was alot of packing that had to be done but with Demi's help, it was made quick work. Vivian was very pleased to know Demi would be one of her roommates. Sure, the rest of her roomies were mostly family but she hadn't talked to them in such a long time. She didn't really like the akward feeling of living with people she barely knew. Demi made sure to help her ease into the situation.

Eva wasted no time scoping out the dorm for males. The only males, though, were her brothers, her sister's fiancee and some strangely-dressed boy. While she wouldn't have minded flirting with Anthony in Roselle's absence, she knew the indiscretion would be sure to somehow find its way to Roselle and then it would be World War III in the Hess family. So she kept her hands to herself and the only other available man.

Anthony was happy to have new roommates. He hadn't really gotten to know the Hess twins so this was the perfect opportunity. Making new friends was awesome, right? Especially when they enjoyed dancing as much as he did.

It was a shame they didn't enjoy his cooking as much as he hoped, though. He tried to win the girls over with his insanely awesome cooking skills. Normally, he was a good cook. But something just went wrong as he tried to grill the sandwiches. While Demi did like Anthony, she wasn't about to lie to him about his sandwiches. She let him have it...hard.

She only had so long to put up with them. Anthony studied hard and by the next final, he was finally able to graduate. There was a small party in his honor at the dorm. His former dorm mates came and congratulated him, as well as give him a ride back to town. He was excited, of course. He finally got to see the house he'd be sharing with Roselle and any future children.

One of her friends gone, Eva sought out to make more. There was a new sorority on campus so Eva tried to make a good impression on the sisters. She got along swimmingly with two of the girls but the last was very difficult. Perhaps it was because she wasn't even human? Aliens were notoriously stubborn.

But Eva took a hint from Henri. When something you want is hard to get, you get stubborn too. Don't budge for anything. His constant efforts to put the final lasso around Marie paid off, as during their junior year she accepted his marriage proposal. Even she was surprised with her actions.

The sudden influx of proposing encouraged Demi and Vivian to get engaged as well. They were worried at first. They knew of a few lesbian couples, one of whom was engaged but there were no official marriages in Sparrowhill. They'd be the first, wouldn't they? The thought of being the first was scary. People would be watching. In the end, Vivian came to terms with her feelings. It was worth having people watch her every move, to be able to call Demi her partner for life.

At least she was lucky enough to have a partner who's eyes didn't waver. Henri began getting strange feelings around Catalina. The two were good friends, they had been since childhood. But she was Gabe's girl. So why was she suddenly acting so flirtatious towards him? Didn't she know his love for Marie was strong?

In the event of physical proof of her indiscretion, Gabe didn't have to worry about finding another. There were a few girls on campus who liked him. One even streaked naked throughout the dorm, intent on finding him and showing him the goods. But for now, those goodies had to stay in the jar. He still loved Catalina, after all.

There was woman who's love they could all share, though: Mama. Sophia was very proud of all her children, encouraging them to continue working hard while in college. When she was able to find babysitters to take care of Joel and Natasha, she would visit the dorm and sometimes even stay the night. Henri felt embarrassed when Sophia fussed over his messy hair, though, especially when she did it in front of his girl.

The semester was coming to a close and Vivian wanted to do something special. So she gathered herself, Eva and Demi and the three girls decided to visit My Muse, a dancing studio Vivian had been part of since childhood. They all took lessons from the instructor and Vivian even participated in a dancing contest. Though she didn't win, she did feel happy about being among people with common interests.

When the semester finally ended, it was time for the second batch of new students to say good bye. Unlike Anthony, there was no huge party for any of them. There were just hugs, kisses and wishes all around. Gabriel and Catalina returned to town first, while Henri finished making sure the place was okay to leave to the girls. Eventually, he too left the campus, eagerly awaiting for the day his sweet Marie was to join him.

Funny Honey

Eva wasn't exactly the most responsible twin. She didn't like doing chores or helping out with the education of her baby brother or sister. She had better things to do! She was at her prime, teen-wise. She much preferred to be out at clubs with boys she just met. But Mother's wrath was frightening. So with the knowledge she could possibly end up like her mother's lovers, she reluctantly began to help out around the house, starting with taking care of Joel.

Of course, her romance life wouldn't be second banana. She had worked hard and finally won over the paper boy. It was rewarding to receive free subscriptions with the Sunday paper now. He might've been a bit hard to win over but it was well worth it. He was cute.

Of course, he wasn't her only fling. She had met a few other boys who were just as nice but easier to please. They were fun to hang out with. They took her out to nice restaurants and sometimes to the arcade. They even took her shopping. Of course, they were just small fry. College...now that's where the real challenges were. She couldn't wait.

Sophia, on the other hand, couldn't wait to rid herself of Anthony. Sure, the dark vampire gentleman thing was hot. Sophia did enjoy being swept off her feet. But she had a reputation to uphold. And he was getting a bit hard to handle, what with having learned of her indiscretions. So it was time to let him go. It wasn't difficult. Vampires, she found, were easily gotten rid of. She didn't need to watch a bunch of movies to figure that one out. A simple lock of the door while Anthony was outside during the night made sure he was left out there when the sun rose.

With Anthony making a vacancy in the house, Sophia was free to move in another one of her lovers. While she pondered asking her lady love to move in, she eventually settled on long time flame Pong. He had been good to her, right? She could at least reward him by allowing him to occupy Casa de Hess for just a short period of time.

Pong wasn't the only new addition to the house. For the longest time, Sophia and the kids wanted a pet. A dog? A cat? Which to get? After having her lawn destroyed time and time again by dogs, it was clear. A cat was the pet for her. So Sophia adopted an older female cat whom she named Delilah. Delilah was a sweet cat. She didn't get in the way and was just content curling up on the couch next to Sophia. She was the perfect pet for a woman Sophia's age.

The girls were both thrilled to have a pet, Eva especially. Cats were awesome in her book. She enjoyed feeding and playing with Delilah. It was strange. She whined and complained when asked to help out with her younger siblings yet jumped at the chance to take care of the cat. If her enthusiasm remained after college, Sophia pondered giving Delilah to Eva to keep.

While Sophia loved Delilah very much, it was nice having someone else take care of her too. Sophia was a bust woman! In between taking care of babies and cats, she had little time for herself. But finding herself with extra money and Pong at work, she decided to give her old friend Lady Matchmaker a call. The woman reluctantly came, bringing an eligible bachelor with her. Sophia tried to assure the woman she wasn't taking advantage of her and that all the dates she brought truly had met untimely accidental ends.

Taking a break from her romancing, Sophia celebrated Joel's birthday. He was just as cute as his brothers, though his traits definitely came from his father. He'd grow into them, naturally. Until then, he was Sophia's little buggie, what with his large eyes.

It wasn't long until Anthony made his undead death known. His spirit wandered around with the others, though he was far more vengeful. He terrorized Eva as she finished up some late night work on her car. He even got Sophia, causing the woman to wet herself a bit. It was the first time one of her ghostly lovers has truly stricken fear into her heart...

Treat Me Right

It never ceased to amaze Sophia how much her children grew and how intelligent they became. Both the twins were A students and Joel was a fast learner. He mastered walking and the potty surprisingly fast. His talking was a bit slow, though. But Sophia didn't worry. When he was ready to speak, she knew it would be with the most precious voice ever.

While the twins were quite smart, Sophia did have to question their common sense. She was utterly confused as to why Vivian was flirting with a classmate in the nursery, in clear view of Joel. She didn't mind the gender of the person her daughter chose but the location....really, it wasn't the best place. Joel is so impressionable.

When romance wasn't a distraction, the girls worked hard. Even though Vivian had a job with the local dancing troupe, she also acted as the cashier for the home business. Eva, being more of a people person, handle the customers when her mother fell pregnant. The first few customers weren't difficult. After all, they were relatives!

While she was more comfortable behind the cash register, Vivian did try her hand at customers. She handled the short-lived make over station. Before it was removed due to lack of space, she actually had quite a few regulars. Of course, her most frequent was her friend Demi. She never changed anything about her appearance. Sophia began to think that Demi just liked to talk to Vivian and was using the make over as an excuse to come visit.

The stalking worked. Vivian was already attracted to Demi but after the extra bonding, the two found deep feelings in each other. Demi would come home from school with her, do home work with her and even slept over. Then, it became offical. One night after a study session, Vivian asked Demi to be her girlfriend and the two became a couple. Their first act as a couple? Certifying their relationship with a kiss, of course.

Eva tried to get some love in her life too. She messed around with a few boys. Most of them were easily pleased...BORING! Humans need challenges. Eva was no exception. She found wooing the paper boy to be much more difficult. The boy was straight-laced, diligent and prude...PERFECT. Oh, the fun it will be to lure him into the world of no commitment and free love.

Anthony found his own vampirism to be a bit of a problem. While he was up all night, everyone else was sleeping. He had no social stimulation! Oh, he tried to convince his girlfriend and her kids to sit up late and watch movies with him. But they would have none of it. He missed his days of late night partying. He was now doomed to endless games of solitary chess.

Despite having seven children and being relatively used to the pain of child birth, Sophia still cried out in pain when she felt her first contraction. It hurt! She was glad she only had a few more pregnancies to go. Age was quickly catching up with her and soon, her womb would be out of business.

She had to admit. It was strange to look at baby Natasha. She just didn't look like a Hess. True, neither did Vivian but there was just something about Natasha. Still, Sophia adored her. Another baby girl was always lovely. They were so fun to dress up.

With her body back to its gorgeous self, Sophia returned to what she did best. Men were, once again, boring her. So she decided to flirt with one of Sabastian's old friends. She was quite the looker, despite her odd fashion sense. Sophia soon had this flower child in her garden of love...

With mother busy, the girls wasted little time working on scholarships. Vivian was aiming for the arts scholarship her sister Roselle had gotten. She honed her skills with both the easel and violin, perfecting both in little time. She also, of course, was hoping to get a dancing scholarship. But it was hard to practice when her sister was causing such noise outside.

Eva was working on gaining a scholarship for her hard work with mechanical objects. She was hoping to present the college dean with the renovated car. It was coming along nicely, despite Vivian calling it a hunk of junk. Marcus, Eva called him, would be the hottest ride in all of Sparrowhill.

With a new lover to spice up her day, she no longer had much need for a man of the night. Heartlessly, she was about to perform the ultimate act of affection with Anthony stills in his coffin. The man, though deep asleep, heard those familiar sounds and immediately burst through the coffin. Sophia wasn't phased...he simply made it easier for her to plan his demise.

Disguise the Malice Storm

Finding herself with extra cash and nothing to spend it on, Sophia was more than happy to help out her eldest children. Daniel and Roselle had just returned from college and were looking for homes nearby. Sophia helped them out by giving them each a good sum of money. After all, she didn't want her children to settle for anything less. So for Daniel, she helped him and his beau get a beautiful Spanish-inspired villa and for Roselle, a quaint home to build as her family does. Sophia couldn't help but give her children stability well into their adult lives. Her children meant the world to her.

Sophia paid as much attention to her twins as she did to the elder children. But with them growing more mature each day, she didn't have to keep an eye on them as much. Eva mostly fended for herself, spending her time snacking or playing soccer. Vivian kept up with her dance moves, her dream more clear to her each day. She was constantly talking to her dance instructor when she wasn't on the bar, her need to advance further ever present.

With the extra time, Sophia became exploring new outlets. She did cooking, she played soccer with Eva and she also stargazed. She had to admit, she enjoyed the cosmos. The never ending frontier was beautifully crafted. So she spent the weekend nights discovering constellations and admiring distant planets. The night was far more interesting than she thought.

The night was interesting. That was no lie. But it whether it was good or bad remained to be seen. While Sophia had nothing but amazing experiences of discovery, Eva had some problems. Ghosts. Yet again, ghosts plagued the Hess home. They never seemed to bother Sophia much but always attacked the children! Those terrible ghosts!

Of course, the ghosts did eventually work to Sophia's advantage. She had been thinking of ways to do away with Amin, without putting the blame on herself of course. A fire? No, too messy. Drowning? Bah, Amin was a good swimmer...then it happened. She was again thankful to her first "love", Sabastian. He did her well once more.

The children knew nothing of it, of course. They carried on with their lives, believing to have lost their stepfather to some sort of illness. It didn't affect them much. Amin was a mean daddy! They were quite glad he was gone.

They wondered, though, if their new daddy would be just as nice. He was strangely pale and a creepy way of speaking but he made their mother happy. Who were they to judge?

Anthony was a welcome addition. He was romantic, sweet, gentle...well, for the most part. Sophia kept his vampiric nature a secret. It was interesting to be dating a creature of the night but love had mysterious ways of working out. She only wish she remembered what he was when she decided to wake him up and ask if he wanted breakfast.

No.longer needing to put all her energy into lassoing a man, Sophia was able to sit down and talk to her girls. It was just about time for the twins birthday. Vivian wanted something small for her birthday, despite the utter importance of it. Her mother was a bit disappointed, true. It was an important birthday. But what ever girls wanted, they got.

The day came it was just as the girls wanted. The guests consisted of only family members. Daniel and Roselle danced the night away with young Vivian while Gabriel and Henri encouraged Eva to beat the dragon lord of level 56. Sophia, during this whole party, was slaving away in the kitchen. Daniel had made it clear: he missed her hors d'oeuvres.

The girls grew up beautifully, though it was obvious that DNA was the only thing they shared. Eva was a little firecracker who's one true love was polyamory. Vivian was the more level-headed twin who cared more for money than love.

They weren't the only ones to experience a birthday. Little brother Joel also had an important birthday. He was a precious boy who looked much like his sister Roselle. To top it off, he was another redhead. As Renae Coleman said, it seemed Sophia was bent on turning Sparrowhill into Red Head Capital of the World.

Old enough to do their own things, the Twins began splitting up. Vivian, for instance, continued on with her dance wishes. She was looking into getting a job as an Aerobics Instructor. Sure, she really hoped to advance beyond it but to start anywhere was good. Until then, she kept up with gardening and painting.

Eva found her niche, after all the years of trying. Sports was fun but working on cars was AMAZING! The purring engine just made her body shiver. She had alot of work to do, of course. But with no job to weigh her down, she had plenty of free time. Though, in the back of her mind, she did want to get a job...at a golf course...to check out the young golfers in their bermuda shorts...Mm.

Mama Sophia did some checking out of her own. Anthony might've been a bit testy during the day but at night, he was insatiable! She'd have fun with him yet. With the girls taking care of Joel, she had nothing to distract her from playing the damsel to Anthony's Dracula.
